“Going on a school Field Trip and realizing that the company of our friends and classmates is the best part.”
Clark Air Force Base is where our first stop.On the island of Luzon, there is a Philippine Air Force base. It was formerly a US military installation that served as both a logistical support hub for the Vietnam War until 1975 and a bastion for the combined American and Philippine forces during World War II.
Dinosaur's Island, in the Clark Freeport Zone near Mabalacat, Pampanga, the Philippines, was our next stop. It is a theme and entertainment park with a special interactive learning experience about many dinosaur species. From Monday through Sunday, they open at 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The third station was the San Guillermo Church in Bacolor, Pampanga, Philippines. It was named after San Guillermo, the town’s patron saint. The church is one of the oldest churches in Pampanga. It is also known as the "half-buried church" because of the lahar overflow in the province during Mount Pinatubo’s eruption in 1991.
And the last destination is the Sky Ranch in Pampanga. It is an amusement park featuring a ferris wheel, a carousel, rides for kids, and more. It was located in San Fernando, Pampanga, the Philippines. Sky Ranch Pampanga is the first-ever theme and amusement park built in Central Luzon in 2014.
This is the best day for us to relax and take a break from school activities. It not only gives us a time to relax but also an opportunity to explore and also to learn more about the different amusements and heritage found here in the Philippines and the story behind those parks and places that was very memorable and important in that part of our history.
